Smile!!

When oppressed or depressed,
When deeply distressed,
Under a mountain of worry.
Just smile.

When you have promises to keep.
Miles to go before you sleep.
Just stop for a while and smile.
When tragedy hits you with its might,
And dearest one's depart,
Have a good cry for a while and then.. Smile.
When wrongly criticized ridiculed or slandered.
Don't be shy and bittered but Smile.

Its magic cure, my friend
To keep your mind safe and sound,
All the year round.

So SMILE!!!!!

A Teacher in YOU!!!!

What makes a great teacher???
Well, the answer to this is not difficult to find. A teacher is one who ..a teacher is one who has qualities of a friend, who supports you in shaping your character, whose hand hold you when you stumble, whose few words comfort your heart, who makes you feel special in this world, who helps you unleash your skills, who reflects your inner talents for you to understand.

You never loose track of a teacher.. you look in the mirror, you see the reflection,; when you speak they are heard in your pronunciations; when you paint they are seen in the colors; think and they can be read in your thoughts, you go places and they are seen in your mannerism.

I found few teachers like this...
These are teachers who have taught me things that are actually the most simple aspects.. but they bring about huge difference in life.

The teachings could be briefed as :
  • Giving is more important than receiving.
  • When it becomes difficult to make a decision just think about your parents, God and Yourself. No one other than these them actually matter.
  • Present moment will be the way it is. You have to live in it ..but with a hope that it will change for a good reason.
  • Respect the person whom you share like talking to.
  • Make it a point to Gift a Smile to at least one person everyday. You must have made that person's day worth smiling.
  • Mannerisms matter a lot.. this is the legecy you can pass on generations on generations.
  • Saying Thank You should be your nature.
  • Wake up with gratitude daily.. because whatever you are is because of someone out there has sacrificed some thing for your happiness.
  • When you go to sleep: sleep with a smile, don't have regrets of what you did knowingly or unknowingly throughout the day.
  • Practise randon acts of kindness daily.
  • Keep Gifting people. What matters is not the gift, but the thought of gifting it.
  • Smile a lot with Kids. Because they have the most pure emotions.
  • Appreciate people. They will be happy.
  • How ever busy you are, take out time to have dinner or at least a cup of tea with your family and close friends.
  • When with friends laugh on all silly things. Its these friends who will not Mind It!! You can be silly in front of them.
  • At any point of time you must have at least 3 people with you who will do anything to see you happy.
  • Pray for the people for whom you really care for.
  • Dream big. You don't have to pay tax for that.
and at last...
  • Life is short. Leave a mark everywhere. Because its your deeds that make people remember your even after you are gone....

These are my leassons from my Teacher, Friend, Guide....

Most Important Part of Body!!!

My mother used to ask me what the most important part of the body is.
Through the years I would take a guess at what I thought was the correct Answer.

When I was younger, I thought sound was very important to us as humans, so I said, "My ears, Mommy."

She said, "No. Many people are deaf. But you keep thinking about it and I will ask you again soon."

Several years passed before she asked me again. Since making my first attempt, I had contemplated the correct answer.

So this time I told her, "Mommy, sight is very important to everybody, so it must be our eyes."

She looked at me and told me, "You are learning fast, but the answer is not correct because there are many people who are blind."

Stumped again, I continued my quest for knowledge and over the years,
Mother asked me a couple more times and always her answer was, "No. But you are getting smarter every year, my child."

Then one year, my grandfather died. Everybody was hurt. Everybody was crying. Even my father cried. I remember that especially because it was only the
second time I saw him cry.

My Mom looked at me when it was our turn to say our final good-bye to my Grandfather. She asked me, "Do you know the most important body part
yet, my dear?" I was shocked when she asked me this now. I always thought this was a game between her and me.
She saw the confusion on my face and told me, "This question is very important. It shows that you have really lived in your life. For every body part you gave me in the
past, I have told you were wrong and I have given you an example why.

But today is the day you need to learn this important lesson."

She looked down at me as only a mother can. I saw her eyes well up with tears. She said, "My dear, the most important body part is your shoulder."

I asked, "Is it because it holds up my head?"

She replied, "No, it is because it can hold the head of a friend or a loved one when they cry. Everybody needs a shoulder to cry on sometime
in life, my dear. I only hope that you have enough love and friends that you will always have a shoulder to cry on when you need it."

Then and there I knew the most important body part is not a selfish one.
It is made for others and not for yourself. It is sympathetic to the pain of others.

People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did . But people will NEVER forget how you made them feel.

Judgements!!!

This article is Direct Dil se!! By a friend of mine ,DharamVeer Singh... it impressed me so much that I thought it must go in this space..

So here it goes....
Jai Gurudev!!!

Though you have heard "don't judge," yet judgment comes unavoidably in day-to-day life.

By the actions and behaviors of people, you either approve or disapprove. But always remember that everything is changing, and do not hold onto the judgment. Otherwise your judgment gets solidified like a rock. It brings misery for you and for others. If judgments are lighter like air, like a breeze, they bring in fragrance, and then move away. They could bring a foul smell, and then move away. They should not stay there forever.

Judgments are so subtle that you are not even aware of their existence. Judging or labeling someone as judgmental is also a judgment. Only in the state of Being when you are full of love and compassion can you ever be free from all judgments. Yet the world cannot move without judgments. Until you judge something as good or bad, you cannot do any actions. If you see rotten apples in the market, you say, "No good." Good ones you buy. If someone lies to you ten times, you think next time it also could be a lie. A judgment happens automatically. See the possibility that people and things can change at any time and don't hold onto the judgments.

You need to judge your company. Your company can pull you up or pull you down.

The company that drags you towards doubt, dejection, blame, complaints, anger, delusion, and desires is bad company.

The company that pulls you up towards joy, enthusiasm, service, love, trust, and Knowledge is good company.

Your company can create Hell for you in Heaven -- or Heaven for you in Hell. Judge for yourself . . . !

Jaago Re!!!

Today's fortune: If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion

i normally believe that we cannot do anything when destiny plays its game.
But dunno somehow the Fortune for today in Orkut.. says something that i wish everyone of us can practice...

COMPASSION... by which the world can be made a better and the most beautiful place to live in...
It can make a person more close to his Inner self ...
Compassion , if u see the dictionary meaning it says: The humane quality of understanding the suffering of others and wanting to do something about it.

We see so many problems around us.. people are troubles soo much.. and when we wanna do something about there are certain boundaries in which we have forced ourselves to be in...

The title JAAGO RE!! rightly says that people WAKE UP... its u who have to take responsibility of whatever is happening around you!!

there's a Commercial of Tata Tea... which has helped thousands of people in India to be part of the important right of citizens- RIGHT TO VOTE..

So ..
Jaago for the people who are fighting a battle .. whom you can help.
Jaago for the wrong happening around you..
Jaago to ask the politicians who don't do, what they promise..
Jaago against the corrupt government officials..
Jaago to clean the mess in your locality..
Jaago and stop blaming Municipal Corporation to do things for you ..
Jaago to educate at least 2 children in a year..
Jaago to protect rights of the poor and distressed people..
Jaago to stop crime against humanity..
Jaago to fight against terrorism..
Jaago to gain the power through education..
Jaago and take charge for what you should be doing..
Jaago to Vote..
Jaago to get Information..
Jaago so that we can be free as a nation, society as well as individual..
Jaago if you see any injustice to any of your fellow citizens..
and if we wont STAND UP AND SPEAK OUT.. no one will...
so better Stand up before you get used to living in such a situation where in all you can do is ADJUST KARIO!!!

SO
Food for thought: stand where you see wrong and speak out where your voice is needed.. and properly select you representative in the government so that you don't regret the decision later on...

AS they rightly say ..'AGAR AAP VOTE NAHI KAR RAHE TOH AAP SOO RAHE HO"
I would say that " AAGAR AAP JAAGO GE NAHI TO KABHI BHI UTH NAHI PAOGE!!"
So decide what you want..????

We are soo Special !!!!

A Poem was sent to me by Art Of Living Teacher. Just thought of sharing it... it makes us feel special about ourselves.

Do not be afraid to shine.
The world needs what you have to give.
Open up the areas of your being;
Expose them to yourself - to others.
You are valuable. You are unique.

You have much to give.
Do not be afraid to give it.

As we risk ourselves, we grow.

Each new experience is a risk.
We can try, and maybe fail,
And, as a result, grow or hold back and stagnate.

You have the potential to be anything you want.
You are free to choose.
You are limited only by your fears.
Let your dreams take over.
Fly with the eagles. Soar into life.
The world is waiting for you.
